You know what they say, “time heals everything,” but has that been your experience? Does time heal or does it allow the offence to become less urgent, tucked away and having less conscious influence on your daily thinking? Case in point, have you ever had the pain of a long passed trauma rear its head when you find yourself or someone else in a similar situation? Does that just mean more time is needed to deal with it?
Revelation 20 deals with this issue head on at a global scale. John sees Satan bound for a time and Christ reigning for the same millennium of time. John sees Satan return for a short time and then dispensed with for all time. Finally, he sees that humanity will be judged according to how we spend our time. As the message of Revelation moves from Act 2 to Act 3 we are confronted with the danger, scarcity, and reality of time.
