Faithfully Obedient to God
There are many things in life that need to be a step by step, an orderly process such as baking a cake or renovating a home. You can't finish the drywall before installing the plumbing or bake the ingredients before mixing them together if you wanted everything to come out properly. However there are other things in life, relationships in particular, that despite all the errors and mistakes we make along the way, can actually turn out very well when we are reminded of and committed to the relationship. As the covenant between the Lord and his people continues to be reestablished following the golden calf disaster, the Lord reminds the people of what he has done, what he is going to do, and the faithful obedience he desires from the people who are his inheritance.
