Exodus 33:12-23
Beginning Again Part 3: Intentionally Engage With God
Exodus 33:12-23
Following the Israelites golden calf failure, Moses determines to go before the Lord in the hope of making atonement for their sin. God’s response is that he has made up his mind, "Go up to the land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people and I might destroy you on the way” (Exodus 33:3). What possibly could Moses do to change God’s mind? Is it even possible to change God’s mind? As we continue our series on Beginning Again we will look at an amazing story in the life of the Israelite people; it seems that through his intentional engagement with God, Moses is able to convince him to reconsider and travel with the Israelites to the Promised Land.
