Joshua 7:1-15 “God's 3rd Law of Motion: Part 2”
Last week we suggested that God’s law of motion is, "React to what I have already done and follow me for I am making all things new.” But what if we don’t? What if we go a different direction than God? Directly following the victory at Jericho, Joshua tells the story of a defeat at Ai, a town whom his spies said should be an easy victory. Israel is crushed and perplexed, “how could we lose such a simple battle?” God’s response is equally as simple, “you went a different direction than I was going, and the consequences are enormous.” Let’s join together this Sunday in worship, through singing, fellowship, prayer and the reading of God’s word, and let us be reminded to set our hearts on the ways of God, for he has won the battle already and is making all things new.
