Joshua 8:1-9, 24-29 “Tactical Obedience”
From the day to day, to the life altering, our lives are filled with decisions regarding problems and opportunities. Most of us would say we want to make the decision that God wants for us, but how do we know what it is that God wants? Is there some pattern or framework we can use to help determine the “right” decision? This Sunday as we look at Israel’s victory over Ai, following their crushing defeat the chapter before, we will compare it with the “battle" at Jericho, as well as Gideon’s battle against the Midianites in Judges 7. All three of these battles were won with tactical obedience, and it is tactical obedience we need to use in facing the decisions before us. I look forward to gathering together as the people of God this Sunday in worship through singing his praise, praying, reading His word, and enjoying fellowship together. Blessings on the road ahead.
