Do you read the scriptures? If so, how do you read them, and why? What are you looking for?
As we gather this Sunday we will worship together through communion, prayer, singing, and discussion surrounding 1 Timothy 1-2. On the one hand, the service will be reflective and an opportunity to come before God in the presence of others. On the other, it will be an opportunity to engage each other with our questions while attempting some answers on the bits of Paul’s letter (or my preaching) that we find confusing.
We should read the Bible because tells who God is, what he has done, and who we are. We should also read the Bible because it is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that we might be equipped for every good work! Let’s continue our training through worship this Sunday as we gather to ask, seek, and knock!
