James 1:1-18
Practice Makes Perfect
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds…” what a way to kick off a letter! As we begin the sermon series on the letter of James to the scattered tribes of Israel it will be important for us to grasp the story within which James believes he and his recipients are living. Once we grasp the bigger picture to which James is pointing, the overarching story of God, then this opening line, and the letter as a whole makes complete sense. I look forward to gathering with you this Sunday as we begin our exploration of James’ letter and the incredible encouragement and admonishment that it was for James' hearers and continues to be for us today.
Speaking of understanding the story to which we are a part of, this Sunday we will be sharing communion together. Communion is such an incredible reminder of God’s presence among us and his promise to one day return and make all things new!
Peace and blessings,
Pastor Tyler
