Numbers 13:26-14:10; 14:26-45 "More Than Grasshoppers"
As we conclude our series on the book of Numbers this week we are challenged to ask ourselves the questions, "who are we?" and the follow up, "what does that mean for my life and our life as a church?" To not understand the answers to these questions had disastrous consequences for the first generation of Israelites who were rescued from Egypt. If we follow in their footsteps it could mean the same for us. However, as Moses said, "the Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion." (Numbers 14:18) So let us learn from the Israelites, let's us turn to our God, and let us follow him into the Promised Land, for we are more than grasshoppers!
